Bay to Beach Speech is proud to provide passionate, child-led and evidence-based speech therapy in homes, daycares, and charter/private schools in the Tampa Bay Area. I, Lindsay Kallam, the sole practitioner and owner, am an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist with a variety of certifications and trainings related to childhood speech and language development, specifically in the areas of Apraxia, Gestalt Language Processing and AAC. I created Bay to Beach Speech after realizing some drawbacks to working in a clinic setting. I felt like I was often faced with time constraints (due to having a large caseload and back to back sessions) which made it difficult to provide the full support I wanted to give to my kids and their families. As a one clinician practice, complete focus and dedication to each client is made possible and guaranteed, something I have always strived for throughout my career. I believe speech therapy goes beyond an SLP treating your child once or twice a week. Speech therapy is teaching parents how to carry-over and practice skills throughout their daily routines, making referrals when children need additional providers, creating a special connection with each child, committing to learning new evidenced based practice and being available to parents outside of their 30-60 minute therapy sessions. Speech therapy is truly a work of heart!
